Chromadigm Shift is an expansive multi-media ongoing body of work from Kendalyn Liebzeit: Transforming human movement into immersive systems of color, light, and form. Debuting at ArtPrize 2026, it marks Kendalyn’s first large-scale multimedia installation and the first public iteration of a project envisioned as a touring installation designed to adapt to new environments and communities.

 

The title merges chroma (color) with paradigm (a way of seeing), reflecting the work’s exploration of Shifting perception through movement, light, and context.

 

The series originates from Kendalyn’s long-exposure photographs of flow artists performing with LEDs, fire, and illuminated props. Fleeting performances are captured as traces of light and movement, then digitally deconstructed and reassembled into layered textile and graphic works. Colorful, kaleidoscopic patterns extend the original performance into something between photograph, pattern, performance, and artifact.

What begins as a live performance becomes an artifact—but the process does not end there. Each work can be revived and reimagined, brought to life again as it enters new spaces, reaches new audiences, and creates new connections.

 

Rooted in flow arts, festival culture, and underground creative communities, Chromadigm Shift embraces radical joy, visibility, and the freedom to take up space. Every pattern begins with real human movement; within the installation, that movement continues through light and audience presence, completing a circuit between body, image, color, and environment.

 

This project exists because of the family, friends, loved ones, and community who have believed in it, challenged it, and continually pushed it further.
